MEDICINE HAT Employees of the Palliser Health Region have a new tool to fight their employers push for concessions.
CUPE Local 189 has established a web site to communicate with their members
and the public in their efforts to get a new collective agreement.
President Colleen Morrison says the site, www.189.cupe.ca, came about after
the local decided it needed to improve communications.
We want our members to have easy access to our bulletins, our news
releases, our collective agreement, and our by-laws, said Morrison. And
the public wants to hear our side of the story about the bargaining
situation hopefully, our site can live up to that challenge.
