Paul Moist was in Québec City Dec. 14 delivering paper – both MédiaMatin Québec and a cheque to the three locked out CUPE locals.

Moist presented a $100,000 cheque while visiting the newsroom of MédiaMatin Québec, the daily newspaper that the locked out workers have been producing since April 2007.

He was up early the next morning to distribute Friday’s edition of the free distribution newspaper.

Moist told the workers the money “is an expression of the solidarity of dozens of CUPE locals.”

“CUPE members across Canada were impressed by the struggle you’ve waged against your employer and they support you all the way.”
