News that the Cape Breton Regional Municipality is looking at comprehensive system of sewage treatment for the region has CUPE Nova Scotia on alert for a possible P3. With municipal officials already talking about the high cost of the project and a history of contracting-out struggles between CUPE and the municipality activists will be keeping a close eye on the project, to ensure any new plants are 100 per cent public.
