Talitha Dekker was elected trustee at the 2021 CUPE National Convention. She has been a member of the Hospital Employees’ Union in British Columbia since 2005, was elected to the HEU Provincial Executive in 2016 and is in her third term as senior trustee elect. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Pension Plan representing HEU, is the treasurer of her local Labour Council and is on the Board of the United Way of BC. She has been the financial agent for two NDP provincial candidates. Talitha serves on CUPE’s National Advisory Committee on Pensions and hopes to continue that important work. Talitha works full-time in the Finance Department of the Interior Health Authority on the unceded territory of the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc Peoples, known as Kamloops.
