CUPE Saskatchewan’s Education Workers Steering Committee, EWSC, is calling on the public to speak up about the impact that years of government underfunding has had on schools. The EWSC has launched a province-wide survey to hear directly from those affected by the cuts – education support workers, teachers, administrators, and parents.

“The government insists our classrooms are doing fine, but the reality tells a different story,” said Karla Sastaunik, chair of the EWSC. “We’re inviting people to share their experiences and speak to the lasting impact underfunding has had on students, staff, and schools.”

Survey results will be made public and used to strengthen the EWSC’s call for the provincial government - to take action and provide the resources and supports students need to succeed.
