P3 Alert, CUPE’s anti-privatization bulletin, has a new name.

The monthly web and email bulletin’s new name, Privatization Watch, better reflects the many forms of privatization – including P3s, contracting out and alternative service delivery  – that CUPE and its allies are fighting.

Through Privatization Watch, CUPE will continue to keep close tabs on the privateers, documenting the flaws and failures of privatization. Readers can also count on profiles of public sector successes and alternatives to privatization in the monthly round-up of stories.

P3 Alert subscribers will continue to get the bulletin in their inboxes at the end of every month. If you’d like to subscribe, visit http://lists.cupe.ca/privatizationwatch to sign up for this once-a-month email. You can also view the bulletin – and all past issues back to 2002 – at www.cupe.ca/privatizationwatch

Tips, leads and story ideas are encouraged. If you have a story idea, send it to privatizationwatch@cupe.ca.
