Charlevoix-Est RCM employees sign their collective agreement

The union representing inside and outside workers with the Charlevoix-Est RCM have signed their collective agreement

This agreement, which the employer and union bargaining committees reached on June 21, was ratified by members at a general meeting.

The contract runs for six years from July 19, 2022 to July 18, 2028. Some of the gains include a 21% wage hike, a 1% rise in the contribution to the FTQ’s wage-funded pension plan (RRFS-FTQ) and an increase in the number of vacation days.

Finally, telemedicine consultations will be covered by the employer, and employees will be receiving retroactive payments and the to the RRFS-FTQ.

“Negotiations were held in an atmosphere of mutual respect. We’re satisfied with this agreement, as it enables our members to improve their working conditions and offer quality services to the public in the RCM,” said CUPE union representative Dominic Cordeau.

The 31 employees in the RCM occupy manual, technical and office jobs.
