Why are you targeting Essex County Library workers? Why are you shutting down the County’s libraries over a phantom issue that does not exist in their workplace? The workers are happy to come to work every day and serve their community because they love their jobs. Sick time policy is not a problem at Essex County Library, even management acknowledges this. Stop jeopardizing the community’s library services over an issue that is not a problem at the libraries. Show true leadership and pave the way for both parties to return to the bargaining table, before Saturday’s deadline, and reach a fair contract that will allow libraries to remain open.
