“The time has come for CMHA Ottawa Branch management to be true to the CMHA’s mission statement of equity, respect and social justice in the way they treat their own employees,” said Jean-Marc Bézaire, CUPE national representative. A strike date has been set for October 4, with mediation talks scheduled for September 25 and 26. Outstanding issues include addressing management favouritism in selecting applicants for job postings, layoff and recall, and professional development, excessive workloads, and reimbursement for work-related travel expenses
