VANCOUVER CUPE Local 454, Delta municipal and police board employees have reached a tentative deal with their employersthe Corporation of Delta and Delta Police Board says Darryl Robison, president of CUPE local 454.
Robison indicated that the agreement has achieved several of the local’s key goals.
“We have restored the nine day fortnight to its full level and protected it within the collective agreement,” said Robison. “We have shortened the posting time limits by two months time, and we have made some benefit coverage improvements.”
“Our bargaining committees are communicating the details of the proposed contract to CUPE 454 members and a ratification date is scheduled for April 10, 2003. More information will be available after the vote,” said Robison.
