CUPE 4254 members, representing educational support workers across 28 communities surrounding Saskatoon, have ratified a new tentative agreement.
The local represents close to 500 education support workers in 16 classifications within Prairie Spirit School Division.
Key highlights of the agreement include:
- 3% annual wage increases over three years
- Wage adjustments for many classifications
- Increased bus driver allowance
- Extension of seniority and recall rights to 24 months
- Hauling rate for network administrators
- New professional development provisions
“This agreement reflects the hard work of the bargaining committee, a respectful relationship with the employer at the table, and the strength of our members throughout the process,” said Shawn Olson, president of CUPE 4254. “We are proud of what was achieved through collaborative efforts of both parties, and we are grateful for the strong support and engagement from our membership.”
