Tell the Town of Cochrane: Cochrane works because we work

The roughly 60 members of CUPE 71 are employed by the Town of Cochrane in the fire department, corporate services, public works, parks & recreation and the daycare. Their collective agreement expired at the end of 2021.

The two sides reached a tentative agreement, which was subsequently voted down by members. A near-unanimous strike vote was held at the end of May 2023.

We’ve been on strike since July 31. It’s time for the Town of Cochrane to come back with a better monetary offer.
