AURORA, ON – Aurora outside workers, members of CUPE 905 have cancelled their planned information picket on Thursday, September 16 at 3 p.m. at the Aurora City Hall.

“We are in 11th hour negotiations and at this point they seem to be going well, so we have decided not to hold the picket today as planned,” said Derek Bakshi, president of CUPE 905.

“We will soon be in a legal strike position. However, we would by far, prefer to negotiate a fair collective agreement – one that gives our members what they deserve and what other outside workers in the Region of York already have,” Bakshi concluded.

The Aurora outside workers unit of CUPE Local 905 is in a legal strike position at midnight Monday, September 20.
