WAINWRIGHT Unionized support staff of Buffalo Trail School Division have
postponed their strike vote originally scheduled for tonight.
CUPE Local 1606 President Margaret Templeton said the union decided to
postpone the vote until September 20th after school officials came through
with another offer.
We are taking this offer to our members tonight without a recommendation to
accept or reject, said Templeton. But we are keeping the strike option
open should our members tell us this latest offer isnt good enough.
CUPE members will meet tonight in Wainwright from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
Templeton will be available to media by telephone after the meeting.
