Long term care workers to protest proposed contract rollbacks at MPP Monique Smith's office

NORTH BAY Health care and support workers, represented by Local 146 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), will hold an information picket in front of MPP Monique Smiths office, on Thursday, July 22nd, at 3:45 p.m., to protest attempts by their employer, Cassellholme long term care facility, to reduce their benefits and gut their collective agreement by sending concession demands to arbitration.

The workers will ask Smith to urge Cassellholmes Board of Directors to get back to the table with a fair offer.
