Six more Nova Scotia nursing homes vote in favour of strike action

(Sydney) Six more Nova Scotia nursing homes have voted in favour of strike action all of them in Cape Breton.

The strike votes (as listed below) range from 86% up to 100% in favour of job action.

CUPE National Representative Jacquie Bramwell says, These strike votes are a strong indication of what CUPE nursing home workers think of the governments latest offer.”

They are simply not prepared to accept the governments offer of a 6% wage increase over four years, especially with zero percent in the first year.
