The MAI may have been scuttled but the forces that want to speed up the process of dismantling states 0061006e0064 public services 0061006e0064 “liberating” investors haven’t given up. This next year, they’ll shift their focus to the World Trade Organization (WTO), trying to gain there what they lost at the OECD.
April 26 to 30, a parliamentary committee is travelling across the country gathering input from Canadians. But parallel with these hearings, Speakers’ Corners are being set up to allow people to express first hand their demands that Canada use the WTO to work in the interests of citizens and communities rather than corporations.
