Last night, two unions representing Hydro-Québec employees obtained a mandate calling for pressure tactics up to and including a five-day strike. CUPE 2000, the union representing professional technical employees and office employees of Hydro-Québec,  made up of 2300 members voted 96% in favour, and the corresponding figures for CUPE 5735,  the union representing Hydro-Quebec network employees, were 197 and 98% respectively.
