After many months of hard work, CUPE partner Momentum is launching its Vote Rainbow Equality campaign today, Monday, March 3rd!  With a federal election on the horizon, the Vote Rainbow Equality campaign aims to build momentum and mobilize our communities to maximize our organizing time before voting day.

Members of CUPE’s National Indigenous Council joined the Sisters in Spirit vigil to bear witness, mourn, and demand an end to the epidemic of violence and racism. The vigil has been held on the Hill every Oct. 4 for the past 18 years.

CUPE 2545 and 2559 issued official strike notices, indicating a full withdrawal of services on Wednesday, November 13, and Thursday, November 14, 2024. Health care workers at Ten Ten Sinclair in Winnipeg, have voted 97% to accept a new deal after four years without a new contract. The new contract includes general wage increases, wage adjustments, an additional pay step, a long-service premium, double overtime rates, and significantly increased shift premiums. Workers will be receiving significant retro-pay and a signing bonus.
