This workshop, led by facilitators who worked with the 55,000 education workers who took Ontario by storm, will give you the tools to build the strongest, most active local possible. How to Fire Your Boss
Mar 18, 2025 (9:00am-4:30pm (Mountain)) (26 spaces available)

In the next six months, CUPE workers have a golden opportunity to fire their bad bosses—at the federal, municipal, and school board levels! Politicians who contract out our jobs, suppress wages, and attack workers' rights don’t deserve to stay in power. Join us to learn how CUPE members can flex their collective power, elect labour-friendly leaders, and kick out the ones who don’t have our backs. This is our chance to shape the future of our workplaces—let’s make it count!

Union Strong, Bias Gone: Building an Anti-Racist Labour Movement
Mar 18, 2025 (9:00am-4:30pm (Mountain)) (22 spaces available)

ARC 101: Introduction to Anti-Racism Unions are strongest when every worker is valued, included, and empowered. This interactive workshop is your introduction to building an anti-racist union—one where solidarity means standing up for all members. Through engaging discussions and real-world examples, we’ll explore key concepts, challenge biases, and develop the skills needed to create a more inclusive and powerful labour movement. This workshop is an introduction to building an anti-racist union. It is part of a wider program of anti-racism workshops from CUPE Education. This intro workshop introduces some core ideas, concepts and skills that are carried through the other workshops and resources.

In response to the health concerns of our members and staff, CUPE has implemented a Scent-Free Policy at all of our workshops. Scented products such as hair spray, perfume and deodorant can trigger reactions such as respiratory distress and headaches. Facilitators and participants are asked to refrain from using scented products while attending our workshops and meetings. Thank you for your cooperation.
