As inflation and the cost of living continue to skyrocket in Canada and around the world, workers are asking tough questions about the future of work and wages, and how they can exercise their collective power to fight back.
How will inflation affect you? How did we get into this economic mess, and how will we get ourselves out? How will inflation affect our wages, that are already falling behind? How can we as union members fight back and win at the bargaining table?
CUPE is excited to convene an online webinar on August 16 (7PM ET) with our Senior Economist Angella MacEwen to help us make sense of our economic context, how inflation works, what a recession is, and a labour-focused analysis of how we can dig ourselves out of this mess, and avoid similar crises in the future.

In response to the health concerns of our members and staff, CUPE has implemented a Scent-Free Policy at all of our workshops. Scented products such as hair spray, perfume and deodorant can trigger reactions such as respiratory distress and headaches. Facilitators and participants are asked to refrain from using scented products while attending our workshops and meetings. Thank you for your cooperation.
