New Waterford - CUPE nursing home workers at Maple Hill Manor in New Waterford have cancelled plans to hold information pickets next week, after their employer withdrew a controversial bargaining proposal.

CUPE National Representative Kathy MacLeod says, “We will now be taking a revised offer to the 60 members of Local 2765, minus the concession to our seniority provisions. Says MacLeod, “We have scheduled a ratification meeting for next Monday evening, March 31, in New Waterford.

Local 2765 represents all unionized employees at The Manor, with the exception of nurses.
