The approximately sixty employees of the Saint-Lambert municipal pool on the south shore of Montreal have a new collective agreement. The agreement was signed this morning. The previous agreement had been expired since 2017.
The eight-year contract includes annual wage increases of 2 per cent as well as an increase in various bonuses, in particular those relating to work clothes, specialized courses and aquatic fitness courses and the supervision of morning free swims.
Lifeguards will now be compensated even if an activity at an indoor pool is cancelled. Finally, these employees will also be paid when they participate in the various retraining sessions offered by the City.
The City of Saint-Lambert has an indoor pool, three outdoor pools and four wading pools.
