Our public library needs your help. Funding for Lethbridge Public Library is not keeping up with our population growth. While we continue to grow and more people use the public library, we are still providing funding based on our population level in 2019.
Our public library does more than having books available for the public. Our public library offers innovative, inclusive and no-cost services and programs to the community that we are in. Libraries are increasingly being relied on as safe community hubs for our vulnerable populations, resulting in increased staffing needs as workers are required to take on more social and psychological work.
Send a message to the Premier, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and your MLA and tell them it’s time tu fundour libraries properly.
