After many months of hard work, CUPE partner Momentum is launching its Vote Rainbow Equality campaign today, Monday, March 3rd! With a federal election on the horizon, the Vote Rainbow Equality campaign aims to build momentum and mobilize our communities to maximize our organizing time before voting day.
Momentum’s Vote Rainbow Equality campaign is focused on empowering Canadians from all walks of life to speak up for freedom, equality, and human rights - for 2SLGBTQI+ people and for everyone.
This campaign’s success hinges on our participation. Momentum has prepared a number of resources that will make it easy for you and your local to participate on launch day and beyond.
Here are some things CUPE locals can do:
- Send an email to your newsletter and/or membership lists to let them know about the campaign;
- Create a partner graphic or use one of the premade graphics and share it on social media;
- Amplify Momentum’s and CUPE’s posts and other posts about Vote Rainbow Equality through your social media channels;
- Share the campaign materials! You can use this form to request a batch of supplies.
Momentum has prepared other resources that make it simple and easy to participate. There are newsletter templates, social graphics, messaging guides, and template files that can be easily added to your logo and shared with your audience.
