CUPE will once again be offering a one-day election workshop “Using Our Power at Election Time” for CUPE members and allies to learn more about the 2019 federal election and what they can do to make a positive difference in our politics and our communities.
The outcome of every election has an impact on workers, public services, and equality rights. The 2019 federal election is no different. In this election, we have an opportunity to expand health care to include pharmacare, and to start taking real action on climate and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, and more. As Canada’s largest union, representing 680,000 workers nationwide, CUPE members have the power to make a real difference.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn more about how elections work, explore key election issues and how to get involved - a little or a lot!
