This week CUPE health care workers will put the finishing touches on a cross-country health care campaign that will count thousands of CUPE members into a massive campaign to save public health care.

The Count me in! campaign includes a workplace canvass that will sign up members in every sector and region. By signing up, members pledge their support for public health care, and commit to fighting privatization and contracting-out. They also send a message to provincial and federal governments. The canvass will help build rapid response networks to help members defeat privatization threats as they arise.

Along with the coast-to-coast canvass, CUPE members are organizing on other fronts – resisting privatization threats wherever they appear, organizing to elect pro-public politicians in upcoming provincial and federal elections, strengthening community health coalitions and demanding reforms that strengthen and improve public health care.

CUPE members are key to the fight – in our workplaces and communities, in the streets, at the ballot box and pressuring governments – especially the governments. Get your local involved in this urgent campaign. Act now for public health care.
