Robert (Bob) Guenther has been active with CUPE Local 744 since he was elected shop steward in 2017. Since then, he has held the position of secretary-treasurer of the local and is now vice-president. Bob has been a pension trustee on the Pension Advisory Committee for the local since 2018 and has been active with the Manitoba Federation of Labour since 2018. He was elected at the October 2021 CUPE Manitoba convention as the persons with disabilities representative on the executive. Bob was elected trustee at the November 2021 national convention.
