If you haven’t yet registered for the CUPE health care workers conference or the People’s Summit on public health care, it’s not too late.

With the First Ministers meeting in Ottawa the first week of February, there’s no better time to send a clear message that we want to strengthen and modernize public health care and guarantee that not a single penny goes to corporate profits.

The health care workers conference is set for February 6 and 7. The People’s Summit follows on February 8 and 9. You can find more information and register online at www.cupe.ca/campaigns/healthcare/register.asp. Don’t delay. Register today.

But even before you get to Ottawa you can send a message to the PM and your premier. Visit www.petitiononline.com/romanow and sign on in support of public health care. Or visit healthcoalition.ca/blitz.html and you’ll find contact information for the PM and your premier. They’ve even provided a sample script, customized to reflect the concerns of your specific province.

Let’s leave no doubt in their minds where Canadians stand on public health care.
