Halifax - The Nova Scotia Highway Workers have a new four-year contract. Members of the Nova Scotia Highway Workers, CUPE Local 1867 ratified the deal today with a vote of 80% in favor of the new contract.

Nova Scotia Highway Workers’ Union President, Gareth Drinnan says, “They are happy with the deal which contains wage increases of 2.9% in each of the four years of the deal. This is the first time ever for a four year collective agreement and it offers stability to the workforce for the length of the contract.”
