CUPE national leaders bring solidarity message to striking CUPE 4325 picket line‎CUPE National President Mark Hancock and Charles Fleury National Secretary Treasurer brought messages of solidarity to striking CUPE 4325 members in Guelph, Ontario, on Tuesday, April 19.

“Your fight is about fairness. Your fight is our fight. CUPE’s 636,000 members support your fight for a fair contract,” said Hancock to the enthusiastic crowd at the CUPE 4325 picket line.

The union and management will be returning to the bargaining table on Wednesday, April 20. The workers have been on strike over issues of inequality at the agency.

CUPE National Secretary-Treasurer Charles Fleury thanked the members for standing up for a fair contract. “I’ve been on strike five times,” said Fleury. “The key to a successful strike is to stand strong in solidarity and have fun.” Fleury also presented the local with a donation to support their fight.
