(Sydney) – CUPE Local 761, representing 70 crossing guards with the CBRM Board of Police Commissioners, has reached a tentative agreement in their contract talks.

CUPE National Representative John Evans says, “This set of negotiations went extremely smooth, which is a credit to both sides”.  The agreement is being recommended by the union Negotiating Committee.

Evans says no details will be released until after a ratification vote is held. It’s scheduled for October 5 at 1:30 pm at the Bicentennial Gym in Sydney.
