Social services workers from CUPE 3999 and the Hospital Employees Union joined thousands of others from the BC Government Employees’ Union and the Health Sciences Association in mass rallies and job actions on March 8.

Many of the 10,000 workers care for and work with the most vulnerable members of our society, including very young children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities. They deliver a wide range of services to thousands of families across the province.

Their protest is intended to step up the pressure on their employers after months at the bargaining table.
