Fill out the national women’s task force survey online. The task force needs your help in identifying specific barriers that make it more difficult for women to participate and hold leadership positions in CUPE.

The task force also wants your input on how our union can better address women’s equality issues in the workplace.

The membership survey is your opportunity to speak out on the issues that matter to you. We want to hear from all CUPE members – women and men.

Why conduct a survey?

CUPE’s membership is almost two-thirds women, yet women are under represented in leadership positions at the provincial and national levels and in large locals.

Delegates at the 2005 national convention adopted a resolution calling for a national women’s task force to investigate the issues facing women members. The survey is one way of reaching out and hearing members’ views. Task force members are also holding more in-depth face-to-face consultations with members in their regions and will be distributing written surveys.

Our goal is to reach as many members as possible before Nov. 10

Remember to fill out the online survey before Nov. 10. And spread the word to other CUPE members to complete one. The survey is limited to one per member.

Results will be released in a report by the national women’s task force and made available to all CUPE members.
