Recently, the Philippines was appointed to a vice-presidential seat on the United Nation’s Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

Many observers note that this is ironic given the Philippines dismal human rights record and the fact that it has failed to implement UN Special Rapporteur Philip Alston’s recommendations to stop the killings and other human rights abuses in the country.

You can help the UN to compel the Philippines to implement Alston’s recommendations and revisit UNHRC appointment: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/gmawatch/petition.html  .
