(Sydney) – Contract talks between the Cheticamp Association for Community Living (CACL) and CUPE Local 4896 have broken off, and the union has applied for conciliation.

CUPE National Representative John Evans says, “These employees are looking for their first contract.  Both sides are awaiting the appointment of a Conciliation Officer from the Department of Labour.”
