Want to help stop the spread of corporatization on your campus? Take part in a short survey that will help CUPE document the problem and develop strategies to fight back.

In 2007 CUPE, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Polaris Institute conducted an on-line survey to provide a snapshot of general commercialism trends on university campuses across the country.

This year CUPE, CCPA and Polaris are updating the survey, which has expanded to include the college sector. This year’s survey aims to broaden knowledge of commercialization and corporatization in the post-secondary sector, and identify new trends.

The survey also looks at the impact of the recession and any steps institutions have taken to generate revenue to make up for lost income or financial instability.

Students, CUPE workers at post-secondary institutions, student associations and other campus groups are all encouraged to take part. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at www.corporatecampus.org.

If you have questions about the survey, contact Kelti Cameron, CUPE national post-secondary research officer.
