Toronto - Professional engineers at the Canadian Standards Association reached a tentative agreement with their employer on the weekend, one day after they were in a legal strike/lockout position. The 75 engineers are represented by CUPE Local 4559, and this is their first contract. Their main work is to certify products for public safety.
Details of the agreement will be confidential pending ratification by the membership. A ratification meeting is scheduled for later this week.
