CUPE brought together unions and social justice organizations last spring to talk about strengthening medicare in the face of growing privatization. “Standing Up For Public Health Care” is a solidarity statement that came out of that meeting. It commits us to exposing and challenging any steps that would weaken public health care; working together to make health care a major election issue, and; strengthening our activist networks and our coalitions.
