Young CUPE activists in Ontario are encouraged to participate in Solidarity Works, a three-week paid training program being held in August.

Organized jointly by the CLC and the OFL, the program is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills and learn more about the labour movement. Participants will work with unions and community-based groups; then work on issues and campaigns throughout the coming year.

Participants must be committed to a worker-centred, anti-racist, feminist, gay-positive vision of social justice, be committed to follow up actions with the labour movement, be 18 to 26 years old and be available full-time in the Toronto area from August 3 to 20.

For more information, contact (613) 521-3400, ext. 324 or (416) 441-3710 or send e-mail. Deadline for applications is Friday, June 18.
