Peterborough Workers with the Kawartha Pine Ridge School Board have voted to ratify a new collective agreement this afternoon, following a tentative settlement reached on Friday.

Over a thousand workers are represented by CUPE Local 5555. They are educational assistants, custodial and maintenance workers, professional services, technical and clerical staff at more than 100 educational sites in the Kawartha Pine Ridge region.

Details of the settlement will not be released until after the school board ratifies the agreement at a meeting later this week.
