Toronto: Sid Ryan, the Ontario President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) will be presenting a brief to the Ontario government pre-budget consultations tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28th at 1:40 p.m. in committee room 151 of Queen’s Park.

“Last year the government held their ’bright ideas’ pre-budget tour. Well, it’s evident from the government’s policy messes that Eves didn’t listen to the CUPE presentation. We told him that hydro privatization would mean skyrocketing rates and supply problems. We told him tax cuts to corporations would leave our provincial coffers bare. And we told him, as Romanow just has, that only public delivery of health care is acceptable to Ontarians.

“This government is in trouble because they refuse to listen to the sound advice given to them,” says Ryan.
