FTPQ-CUPE 7300, The Quebec Brotherhood of Paramedics, is pleased to announce that, following several discussions with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, MSSS, the Conseil du trésor and employer associations, an agreement has been reached whereby members will be getting a 6% wage increase, which Common Front workers got for 2023-2024 last year. As a result, this raise will be paid to FTPQ members within 30 days. The retroactive pay for the period from April 1, 2023 and late January 2025 will be forthcoming within 90 days.

“We’re proud to have reached this agreement without having to make any concessions or changes to our working conditions. The terms agreed to will allow for greater workforce flexibility that is purely on a voluntary basis. As the members we represent will become the best paramedics in Quebec, we will now be able to devote all of our efforts toward getting a tentative agreement to renew our collective agreements that expired on March 31, 2024. In the meantime, we’re continuing with the strike to keep the pressure on the MSSS and the Conseil du trésor with the hope that a collective agreement, which our members deserve, can be negotiated as soon as possible. Essentially, this strike has no effect on the public. Instead, it allows for administrative steps to be taken to ensure that our voices continue to be heard,” said FTPQ President Sébastien Gourre.
