A new poll released by NTV news in Newfoundland and Labrador shows public support for unions is still strong, 27 days into the strike by 20,000 CUPE and NAPE members. The survey of 1,300 people asked respondents whether they agree with the back to work legislation currently being debated in the legislature.

52% said they did not, while 39% said they did. Almost one month into an unprecedented, province-wide strike, people were asked if they supported the unions or government in the dispute. 46% said they supported the unions, while only 32% supported the government.
