The management team at JF&CS piles cases on workers with no regard for their mental health or well-being – and no recognition that families and children aren’t getting the support they need.
Dedicated, talented, and caring staff have been leaving the agency for years, chased out by low wages and crushing workloads. The result is that domestic violence cases sit unassigned for months. Case managers supporting Holocaust survivors have so many files that they can’t possibly address each of them. The most vulnerable, the most in need, are being ignored.
The workers are fighting back to make sure that all Jewish children and families get the support they need and that workers get the compensation they deserve.
Write to the Board of Directors at JF&CS. Tell them that you are watching and that you expect better. Demand that they live up to their principals and provide workers the resources they need to care for the Jewish community.
