New Democratic Party leader Jack Layton and Prime Minister Paul Martin have agreed to improve the budget in exchange for NDP support getting the federal budget passed in the House of Commons – and getting it past the power-mad Conservatives.
It is a good deal that makes a better budget. Less tax cuts for giant corporations, and more money for Canadians’ real priorities such as child care, cities, the environment and education. It must be passed before any election is called, and you can help that happen.
Tell your MPs that you support the NDP-Liberal budget deal and want it passed in the House of Commons before any election!
