Late last evening, following months of negotiations and a strike vote, inside workers in Saguenay have announced that they have reached a tentative agreement with the employer.

“We, of course, are quite pleased. We can’t discuss the agreement in detail, but we’ll be organizing a general meeting as quickly as we can to present it to our members,” explained Stéphanie Cloutier, president of the union representing white-collar workers.

Out of respect for the employees, the union will not be giving any interviews on the talks or the outcome.
