Workers at the Municipality of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, represented by CUPE 2414-A, recently signed their new collective agreement.
“We are delighted with the improved working conditions that have been obtained for all our members. Negotiations in a healthy environment always produce results that each party can be pleased with,” said Brigitte Archambault, CUPE Representative.
The contract covering the years 2024 to 2028 provides salary increases of 5% in the first year, 3.5% in the second, 3% in the third and fourth, and 3.5% in the final year.
In addition to these gains, there were improvements in leave benefits and monthly travel allowances. Workers also negotiated a telecommuting clause, reimbursement for cell phone use, the possibility of taking educational leave, and an article on job evaluation and the grievance mechanism. Office staff will also benefit from more flexible working hours.
