- Clarifying National Defence Fund strike pay eligibility for rotating strikes. There is a need to ensure that locals on rotating strike understand that every day a member is out on strike counts as one day of eligibility for strike pay.
- Examining strike pay eligibility of members affected by essential services legislation. The strike manual will also be revised and updated to ensure strike preparation and strike avoidance strategies are done well in advance of the possibility of a strike taking place.
- Examining ways to target support to locals to ensure the most effective use of the strike weapon.
- Improving the use of technology to share information on major strikes and settlements; and developing software for locals to use when issuing strike pay.
