CUPE Education offers workshops for members to address workplace mental health issues from a union perspective. Consider attending the following workshops so that you know how to respond to and address mental health challenges in the workplace.
Employers may also be interested in providing mental health first aid training for their employees. Mental health first aid is provided to someone developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The Mental Health Commission of Canada can provide these trainings, so consider approaching your employer and requesting this training for your workplace.
